Accountability to You

Our guiding principles are that we will:


  • Provide information in a way which reflects the security, and other significant priorites (based on the best interest of our clients).


  • Make information available about our plans, decisions, policies, standards, and performance


  • Provide information about how we are governed, our finances and how we achieve value for money.


  • Make sure information is easy to find, relevant, accurate and wherever possible self-explanatory


  • Respond to requests in a way which is cost effective and proportionate


  • Always act lawfully and comply with any requirements set by our regulators



  • What this means:


    At Behavioral Health Interventions of Greater St. Louis, we believe in, and practice transparency and candidness in our communications with the overall community as it pertains the interactive practices of our affairs. Within our obligations to comply with our licensing and other regulatory bodies as they regard the functioning, procedures, and processes of our agency, we will make every effort to provide, in the most appropriate of fasion and spirit, any information request regarding our mission, goals, practices and objectives.     What we publish routinely:


    We publish and provide the following information in different ways and formats to meet the diverse needs of our customers. In many cases we use our website to share information, but we may print some documents such as leaflets and newsletters. We also use social media channels such as Twitter and Facebook.



    Annual Financial Statements


    Our staff compensation package & other operating costs to the organization Details of all expenditure over $500 on regeneration work funded via the Missouri Department of Mental Health and other sources of public funding.



    Our service standards, performance and plans:


  • A comprehensive list of all our main policies, which are available on request

  • Information on our services and how we manage our programs

  • Our annual report to the public

  • Plans for major changes in services provisions and related polices changes regarding such

  • Financial Information regarding such standards, performances, and plans

  • Other financial related such as our Financial Statements and annual Report to our communities



  • Our Responsibilty for your safety and confidentiality


    The safety of our community is our absolute priority and we comply with all legal and regulatory responsibilities to ensure your safety.

    This includes carrying out Public Saftey Responsibilities in all facilities where there are common and restricted ("staff access-only") areas
    and taking the follow-up action(s) indicated to be needed by our assessment findings and those of regulatory mandates.

    We will also provide a summarized classified copy of a PSR upon request pursuant to our compliance with state
    and other regulatory requirements such as the Health Information Act.




    In some cases, we will be unable to provide information requested. This is likely to be the case where:



  • It would involve disclosing personal information to a third party as defined by the Data Protection Act

  • The information is confidential or commercially sensitive

  • The information is in draft form

  • Disclosure is prevented by law

  • The information is not readily available/ is difficult to access

  • In these circumstances we will respond to the request within 20 working days explaining why the information cannot be provided.
